Scientists in School - Help Please
A message was emailed to parents last week to inform you that Scientists in School will be visiting the Grade Twos in Ms. Vysochyna’s class and Mrs. Maidment’s class on Wednesday, Feb. 4th to give a hands-on workshop entitled I Like to Move It! In order for the workshop to go ahead, we are in need of parent volunteers to help in the classroom from 9:00 a.m. until approximately 11:15 a.m. We currently do not have enough volunteers. Please email me if you have your Vulnerable Sector Check and are available to help us.
On Friday, Feb. 6th from 9:15 until approximately 11:15, Scientists in School will be visiting the Grade Three students in Ms. Lobo’s class and Mrs. Maidment’s class to give a hands-on workshop entitled Strong Structures. We are still in need of a few more volunteers to help the Grade 3s on that date. Please email me if you have your Vulnerable Sector Check and are available to help us.
Thank you in advance for your help with this.
This week in our phonics lessons, we will learn about adding the ending -ING to verbs. We add the -ING ending to verbs when we are talking about actions that continuously happen in the present or past. When a verb has the -ING ending, a helping verb comes before it such as:
I am going. We are going.
She was going. They were going.
